DirecTV Stream is currently offering a free preview of Showtime to all subscribers. The free preview actually went live yesterday (March 23) so existing subscribers may have already noticed the addition of the channel in their guide. For those that haven’t seen the channel yet, Showtime is available on channel 545.

As is typically the case with any free preview that’s available to DirecTV Stream subscribers, this weekend’s free Showtime is also available to DirecTV (channels starting at channel 545) and U-verse (channels starting at 852/1852 HD) customers as well.

The timing of this preview is unlikely to be random as this weekend also sees the return of Yellowjackets with the premiere episode of the second season. Again, if you want to watch through DirecTV Stream, the first episode of the new season of Yellowjackets can be streamed live on Showtime (channel 545) on Sunday, March 26 at 9 p.m.

Other popular movies and shows currently available to stream as part of this latest free preview include Your Honor, Waco, and the Oscar-winning Everything Everywhere All At Once.

If new to DirecTV Stream but considering giving the service a try, plans start at $74.99 per month with Entertainment. No matter which of the DirecTV Stream packages a home signs up to, they will also get access to the free Showtime preview that’s taking place this weekend.

For reference, it is not just DirecTV Stream that’s offering a free preview of Showtime, as Sling TV is currently offering one to its subscribers as well. Sling’s free Showtime preview officially started today (March 24) and remains available through Monday (March 27). As a reminder, DirecTV Stream’s free preview comes to an end on Sunday night.
