DirecTV is launching an “immersive college football tour” and will be visiting various college campuses with a DirecTV-branded mobile vehicle this fall.
Similar to the NFL season, the 2023 College Football season is now underway, and plenty of homes will be looking for a way to watch their favorite team play on TV.
DirecTV is one of those options with the Choice or higher packages the best plans for those wanting the most complete college football experience.
For those that plan to attend games in person, they might want to keep a look out for DirecTV. The company has confirmed that it will also be attending “some of the biggest matchups in college football” over the next few months.
“We’re excited to bring the DIRECTV sports experience to college football fans and look forward to visiting some of the best campuses throughout the country this fall. Our commitment to college sports has been a constant throughout our history, and we look forward to continuing to build deep relationships with students and alumni through our college football tour,” said Vince Torres, DIRECTV chief marketing officer.
It will be easy to see if DirecTV is there, as the company is basically bringing a party bus with it. DirecTV’s “mobile vehicle” is fully wrapped with DirecTV branding and “includes a rooftop deck and large outdoor tailgate area.”
According to the company, fans can expect to “interact with campus and event relevant DirecTV talent, compete in popular tailgate games, and watch relevant college football programs on giant television screens, all while being entertained by local DJs.”
At present, DirecTV hasn’t released the full schedule for its College Football Tour but has said it will be in attendance at the Penn St. White Out game on September 23rd, USC vs. Notre Dame on October 14, and the Big 10 Championship game on December 2nd.
If planning to attend a different game and hoping to run into DirecTV’s party bus mobile vehicle, the company says it will release the full College Football Tour schedule in the coming weeks.
