Earlier this year, Disney began offering a discounted Disney+ and Hulu bundle to students as part of a limited-time Memorial Day sale.
Although that deal technically ended in June, Disney is now offering the same discount on a permanent basis. This is great news for students who missed out.
The discounted student price is specifically for the Disney+, Hulu Duo Basic plan, which means subscribers get access to the ‘with ads‘ versions of both Disney+ and Hulu.
Still, at $6.49/mo, this is a massive saving on the usual $12.99 cost of the ad-supported bundle, and a cheap way to stream Disney classics and Hulu Originals, as well as titles from FX, Pixar, Marvel, National Geographic, and Star Wars.

Signing Up to the Disney+ and Hulu Bundle
As this is a student-focused streaming deal, new subscribers will need to confirm their eligibility. Similar to other streaming services offering student discounts, Disney is using SheerID for the verification process.
As part of that process, students will need to provide some personal details, including their full name, the name of the educational institute they are attending, and their email address.
Once their eligibility has been confirmed, they will then be able to sign up as normal and at the heavily discounted price.
What’s extra good about this deal is that the 50% discount remains in place for as long as the student remains a student. Although status will need to be re-verified each year to maintain the discount.
Things to Know Before Signing Up
As mentioned already, the main caveat to be aware of is that student eligibility does need to be confirmed prior to signing up and starting a subscription.
As an extension of this, the eligibility also needs to be re-verified each year for the discount to continue. The process of re-verifying works exactly the same as the original verification.
In cases where eligibility is not re-reverified in time, the subscription will automatically change to a full-price subscription. Currently, that would result in the price jumping from $6.49/mo to $12.99/mo.
Another small caveat to be aware of is that there is no free trial available with the bundle. In order to start the subscription, new subscribers will need to pay $6.49 for the first month when signing up.
