Disney+ is the dedicated streaming home for all things Disney. The subscription streaming service launched in the United States on November 12 2019, and immediately attracted millions of new subscribers. Since then, it has continued to expand to more countries, and has attracted millions more subscribers along the way.
A Disney+ subscription costs $6.99 per month. In return, the service provides access to the wide selection of content owned by the company, following its acquisition of 21st Century Fox in 2019 – for more than $70 billion. The extensive catalog includes popular franchises, such as Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar and National Geographic. With many of the movies and shows now available to stream on demand.
In addition to subscribing to the service directly, Disney+ can also be bundled with a basic Hulu subscription and ESPN+ for $12.99 per month. This represents a significant saving for those who already subscribe to the other two services separately.
Disney’s streaming service also arrived with extensive platform and device support. Resulting in a service that can be accessed by most people, on many of their devices, both at home and while on the go.
Dedicated Disney+ apps can be downloaded on:
- Amazon Fire TV
- Android TV
- Apple TV
- Roku Players & TVs
- Android phones & tablets
- iOS phones & tablets
