If new to BritBox and interested in trying the streaming service out, you can currently sign up and pay just $4.49 for the first month. With this promotion, new subscribers are saving 50% on the usual monthly cost of the streaming service.

Following a price increase earlier this year, a standard BritBox subscription now costs $8.99 a month or $89.99 a year. However, signing up with the OVER50 promo code currently takes the price of the first month down to $4.49, half off the normal cost.

To take advantage of the offer, sign up as normal through the BritBox website and enter the OVER50 promo code in the Add a promo code field on the Choose Your Plan section.

As the discount only applies to the first month, the subscription will auto-renew at the usual, higher rate for the second month. It is also worth noting that there is no free trial available when using the promotion. Typically, BritBox offers all new subscribers the option to watch for free for seven days before making the first payment.

As a reminder, BritBox is a British TV streaming service. Subscribers not only get access to a selection of new and classic comedies, dramas, and mysteries from the UK, but they can also watch many current affairs shows and soaps on the same day they are shown on TV in the UK.

For those that would prefer to hold on and see if Black Friday offers any better deals, it is still unclear if one will be available this year for BritBox. Last year, BritBox’s Black Friday deal dropped the price down to $1.99 a month for the first 2 months.
