Fubo has made a major change to its Latino package by permanently lowering the monthly cost. In spite of the lower cost, it doesn’t look like Fubo has made any significant changes to the lineup, resulting in what simply appears to be a better deal overall.
Considering the Latino plan previously cost $33 a month, and now costs only $14.99 a month, new and existing subscribers are now paying around $18 less each month.
The price change took effect last Friday (Feb. 14) so some subscribers may have already noticed the change. For those that have yet to see their price change, they can expect to pay the lower cost on their next bill. Likewise, existing quarterly subscribers can also now expect to pay $14.99/month, billed quarterly.
The price change is also already in effect for new subscribers. Previously, Fubo was offering new customers an $8 discount on the Latino plan. Even following the drop in price, Fubo is still offering a $5 discount when signing up, lowering the cost of the first month for new subscribers to $9.99. This is also following a five-day free trial.
As a reminder, Fubo’s Latino plan provides access to more than 45 Spanish-language channels, including beIN Sports, ESPN Deportes, Fox Deportes, Tr3s, Estrella National, WAPA América, Canela TV Deportes, and Todo Novelas, among others.
Latino subscribers also get acces to an unlimited cloud DVR, and the ability to watch on up to two screens at the same time.
Although the channel lineup does not appear to have changed following the introduction of the lower monthly price, Univision, UniMás, and other TelevisaUnivision channels were removed from the plan back in December. The channels were dropped as part of an unresolved dispute between Fubo and TelevisaUnivision.
Earlier this week, Fubo confirmed it was launching new multicultural content bundles, with the first arriving in the form of a Zee Family standalone plan and add-on. It is possible that a reduction in the price of the Latino plan is part of Fubo’s wider goal to offer more packages and options in additional languages.
