Fubo Removes Premier Plan As An Option For New Subscribers

Fubo is currently down to just three base live TV packages after removing the most expensive ‘Premier’ plan as an option for new subscribers. Fubo confirmed to Streaming Better that the Premier plan was removed and no replacement package is currently available.

It is not uncommon for Fubo to makes changes to its base plans and packages throughout the year. In fact, the live TV service has routinely swapped Premier out for a similarly-priced Ultimate package before switching back again at a later time.

The complete removal of the Premier plan appears to be part of yet another Fubo test, with the company confirming it is testing the bundles that offer ‘the best value for consumers.’ Reading between the lines that would appear to mean the cheapest plans.

While not guaranteed, Fubo did add it is possible the Premier plan could return as an option for new subscribers at a later time.

In terms of existing subscribers, Streaming Better can confirm they will remain unaffected by this change. Any homes already signed up to Premier will remain Premier subscribers, providing they don’t change their package, or cancel their current subscription.

With no Premier plan to choose from, new subscribers are now left with a choice between the $79.99/month Pro plan (currently $59.99 for the first month) and the $89.99/month ($69.99 for the first month) Elite plan. Both Pro and Elite come with fewer channels than Premier and don’t include Showtime (now Paramount+ with Showtime).

The third plan, Latino, also remains unchanged. Priced at $32.99 a month, Latino provides access to a ‘best of Spanish language TV‘ channel lineup.

Earlier today, Fubo confirmed MASN was being added to its base plans, providing subscribers in a seven-state region with access to Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals games.
