Hisense has now launched Hisense Channels, a free streaming service loaded with more than 200 FAST channels. The new service provides access to channels and content from a number of sources, including Scripps, Radial Entertainment, and Stingray, among others.

The free ad-supported streaming TV service is available from today on the company’s smart TVs powered by Google TV. Hisense has also confirmed that Hisense Channels is due to become available on its other smart TVs soon.

Once available on a smart TV, Hisense says the new service will be easy to find, as it will be discoverable right from the operating system’s homepage.

Hisense Channels represents a major step forward in our mission to deliver premium, accessible entertainment to every household in America,” said David Gold, President of Hisense USA.

The new service has launched in partnership with Xumo, the streaming joint venture between Comcast and Charter.

By partnering with Xumo Enterprise, we’re not only expanding the content offerings on our smart TVs, but also reinforcing our commitment to innovation and value by unlocking a world of premium content that’s free, seamless, and built right into the TVs our customers already love,” added Gold.

The launch of Hisense Channels also builds on the existing relationship between Hisense and Xumo, which has resulted in the development and release of Hisense smart TVs powered by Xumo’s operating system.

The launch of Hisense Channels underscores our shared commitment to delivering a seamless, high-quality entertainment experience that meets the evolving expectations of today’s TV audiences,” said Stefan Van Engen, Vice President, Content Partnerships, Acquisition, Distribution and Experience, Xumo.
