How Much Is NFL RedZone On Sling TV?

John Finn Avatar
Sling TV and NFL RedZone

NFL RedZone on Sling TV costs $11 a month on top of the price of the Sling Blue plan. This additional monthly fee is not just for NFL RedZone, but a number of other sports channels as well.

Sling TV remains one of the most affordable options for those looking to stream live TV channels over the internet. With a lower price than many other live TV services, there can sometimes be compromises in the selection of channels.

When it comes to the NFL, the good news for anyone considering signing up to Sling TV is that NFL Network is included with the Sling Blue plan at no additional cost. For those wanting NFL RedZone, however, they will need to pay extra each month.

Although Sling offers two main plans to choose from, Sling Blue is the only plan that includes NFL Network. Sling Blue is also the only plan that NFL RedZone can be added to. For those on the Sling Orange plan, there’s currently no way to add NFL Network or NFL RedZone to your package.

NFL RedZone with Sports Extra

NFL RedZone can be added to the Sling Blue plan through the Sports Extra add-on.

Sports Extra costs an additional $11 a month and unlocks access to the following sports channels:

  • beIN SPORTS
  • Big Ten Network
  • FOX Sports 2
  • Golf Channel
  • MLB Network
  • MLB Network Strike Zone
  • NBA TV
  • NFL RedZone
  • NHL Network
  • Pac-12
  • Tennis Channel

Considering the Sling Blue plan is priced at $40 a month ($45 for those in an area where ABC is available), the combined total for Sling TV with NFL RedZone is $51 a month (or $56 for those in an ABC area).

Adding NFL RedZone to Sling TV

With an active Sling Blue subscription, subscribers can add the Sports Extra add-on (with NFL RedZone) to their package through the settings section of the Sling TV website.

How to add NFL RedZone to Sling Blue via website:

  1. Visit the Sling TV website
  2. Log in, if required
  3. Hover over profile icon (top right corner)
  4. Click on My Account
  5. Click on Edit Subscription
  6. Select the drop-down
  7. Click Add next to Sports Extra
  8. Scroll down and click Review
  9. Confirm changes

While the website is the easiest and best way to make changes to an account and subscription, some add-ons can also be added through one of the platform apps. However, this option might not be available on all devices or for all add-ons.

How to add NFL RedZone to Sling Blue via app:

  1. Launch the Sling app
  2. Navigate to My TV
  3. Scroll down to Add Premium Channels & More
  4. Scroll left or right and select Sports Extra
  5. Click Purchase Now
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm purchase

Whether adding through the website or app, the subscriber will immediately gain access to all of the additional sports channels and content, including NFL RedZone, after adding Sports Extra to Sling Blue.

In some cases, subscribers may need to restart the app for the change to take effect. If that is the case, the subscriber should be presented with a pop-up message confirming that an app restart is required.

  1. There is no red zone on sling!

    1. As explained in the article, you need to be signed up to the Sling Blue plan, and add the Sports Extra add-on, to get access to RedZone.

  2. Can I watch all NFL, NCAAM football, basketball, baseball and MLB games on the Orange plan?
