NFL RedZone on Sling TV costs $11 per month on top of the cost of the Sling Blue subscription. This additional monthly price is not just for NFL RedZone, but a number of extra sports channels, making the exact cost of NFL RedZone a little cheaper. For those that do want to add NFL RedZone to their Sling TV subscription, they will need to pay $11 more each month and make sure they are signed up to the Sling Blue plan.

Sling TV remains an affordable option for those looking to stream live TV channels over the internet, considering the main plans are much cheaper than the base plans from fuboTV, Hulu Live TV, and YouTube TV. While Sling TV’s lower price does often result in a compromise on the channel selection, that’s not the case with NFL RedZone, Sling TV subscribers do have to pay more for NFL RedZone, but that also tends to be the case with the other live TV streaming services as well.

Sling TV offers two main plans, Sling Blue and Sling Orange. However, NFL RedZone is only available to those signed up to the Sling Blue package which already includes NFL Network. For those on the Sling Orange plan, there’s currently no way to add NFL RedZone to their live TV package. NFL RedZone can be added to an existing Sling Blue plan through the service’s Sports Extra add-on which looks to bring together additional football, basketball, golf and tennis content.

Sling’s Sports Extra add-on costs $11 per month and adds an additional 12 channels to the Sling Blue plan, including NFL RedZone.

Sling Sports Extra add-on channels:

  • beIN SPORTS
  • Big Ten Network
  • Fox Sports 2
  • Golf Channel
  • MLB Network
  • MLB Network Strike Zone
  • NBA TV
  • NFL RedZone
  • NHL Network
  • Olympic Channel
  • Pac-12
  • Tennis Channel

Add NFL RedZone to Sling TV

The Sports Extra add-on is only available on top of an existing Sling TV subscription so consumers will first need to make sure they have set up the base plan first. Furthermore, NFL RedZone is only included with the Sports Extra add-on for Sling Blue subscribers. Sling Orange subscribers are unable to add NFL RedZone to their base plan. Considering the cost of the standard Sling Blue plan is $35 per month, the combined total for Sling TV with NFL RedZone is $46 per month. With an active Sling Blue subscription set up, subscribers can add the Sports Extra with NFL RedZone add-on to their package through the settings section of the Sling TV’s website.

Add Sports Extra with NFL RedZone to Sling Blue:

  1. Visit the Sling TV website
  2. Log in if required
  3. Hover over profile icon (top right corner)
  4. Click on “My Account”
  5. Click on “Change Subscription”
  6. Expand the “Your Current Service” drop-down menu
  7. Click on “+Add” next to Sports Extra

Besides adding Sports Extra for access to NFL RedZone, the subscriber can also add any of the additional add-ons they might want at the same time by also clicking the “+Add” next to any of the available options. Once all done, the subscriber will just need to follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process including reviewing and confirming the subscription changes.

While the Sling TV website is the easiest and best way to make changes to an account and subscription, some add-ons can also be added through the service’s various platform apps. This option might not be available on all devices or for all add-ons, but the typical way to add extras through the Sling app is as follows:

  1. Open the app
  2. Navigate to My TV page
  3. Scroll down and tap on “Add Premium Channels & More”
  4. Scroll left or right to find Sports Extra
  5. Tap on Purchase Now
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions

Regardless of whether adding through the website or one of the apps, once the Sports Extra add-on has been added to the Sling Blue plan, the subscriber will immediately gain access to all of the additional sports channels and content, including NFL RedZone. In some cases, subscribers may need to quickly restart the app for the change to take effect. If this is the case, the subscriber will be presented with a pop-up message on the screen confirming an app restart is required.

NFL RedZone on Sling TV summary

Sling TV subscribers can watch NFL RedZone but only if they are signed up to the Sling Blue package which already includes NFL Network in the channel lineup. NFL RedZone can be added to the Sling Blue plan through the Sports Extra add-on which costs an additional $11 per month on top of the base subscription. The easiest and quickest way to add Sports Extra with NFL RedZone is through the account section of the Sling TV website.

Once Sports Extra has been added to the Sling Blue plan, the subscriber will instantly gain access to NFL RedZone. In addition, the Sports Extra add-on also provides access to a number of other sports-related channels as well, greatly expanding the ability for a Sling TV subscriber to stream football, basketball, golf and tennis content.
