If you currently use a compatible LG smart TV, it looks like you are gaining some additional entertainment options this week. Specifically, new FAST channels and the popular 8 Ball Pool game.

What You Need to Know

  • LG is adding limited-time, pop-up FAST channels featuring The Hunger Games, Saw, and John Wick film franchises.
  • LG is also expanding its standard channel lineup with four new, ongoing Lionsgate channels.
  • The popular mobile game 8 Ball Pool is launching globally on compatible LG Smart TVs.

In terms of the new FAST channels, LG is adding three new pop-up channels in partnership with Lionsgate. As these are pop-up channels, each one is only available for a limited time, and they are not available at the same time.

The first has already arrived, with the dedicated The Hunger Games FAST channel available to stream now through October 15, 2026.

This is not the first time this channel has been made available to LG users, with the company explaining the popularity last time around is the reason why the channel has now been brought back again.

The other two pop-up FAST channels are Saw (available Oct. 16 – Nov. 4) and John Wick (available Dec. 17 – Dec. 31). Both of these channels will provide users with the opportunity to watch all of the movies available in each franchise.

“By turning fan-favorite movies into curated, limited-time viewing events around moments when they’re most relevant – from ‘Saw’ for Halloween to ‘John Wick’ for the holidays – LG Channels is making premium entertainment easy to discover and enjoy for free, while adding even more value to the LG Channels and webOS experience,” says Matthew Durgin, Vice President, Media Entertainment Services North America.

On top of the three pop-up channels, LG TV is also adding the four following FAST channels from Lionsgate:

  • Pulse: Medical drama channel featuring titles like Nurse Jackie and Saving Hope.
  • Ghosts: Channel dedicated to the popular CBS comedy series Ghosts.
  • Lionsgate Network: Featuring premium series and films like Private Eyes and La La Land.
  • A single-series channel dedicated to Rookie Blue.

Unlike the pop-up channels, these four additional Lionsgate FAST channels are normal FAST channels and available to watch for as long as they remain available.

8 Ball Pool Comes to LG Smart TVs

Separately to the new FAST channels, LG is also now in the process of adding 8 Ball Pool to its smart TVs.

In partnership with Miniclip, the launch of 8 Ball Pool on LG Smart TVs marks the first time the popular mobile game has become available on the TV screen.

It also looks like 8 Ball Pool will be a permanent fixture on LG TVs. The game begins rolling out to compatible devices (running webOS 6.0 and above) this week, and is set to become available in 165 countries.

“Through this partnership, LG continues to expand its free premium gaming ecosystem on the webOS platform,” said Chris Jo, head of the webOS Platform Business Center at the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company. “With new hit titles customized for big-screen players, LG is transforming the traditional TV into an interactive hub for home entertainment.”

LG says it has tripled the number of web-based gaming titles available across its platform over the past two years, resulting in a library that now offers access to more than 1,000 free-to-play games.
