Max has launched a new House of Halloween hub to make it easier for subscribers to discover spooky content to watch during the Halloween season.

With October almost here, it is to be expected that many streaming services will begin offering dedicated sections and shortcuts to some of their most spookiest content. Just last week, for example, Paramount Plus brought back its Peak Screaming hub for Halloween 2023.

Joining Paramount Plus, Max has also now launched its own dedicated Halloween section. The new House of Halloween hub brings together all of the spooky-related content available to stream on the platform. Which, thanks to the addition of Discovery content, is now a much larger library of scary content than when the service was operating as HBO Max.

One of the interesting things about Max’s House of Halloween hub is that the collection is separated into varying scare levels. For example, content is split into categories like Sweet Treat, Scary, But Not Scary-Scary, and Haunt Your Dreams, making it possible for users to filter the library according to the scare level they are most comfortable with.

To further highlight the difference, while Sweet Treat includes titles like Coraline, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, and Halloween Cookie Challenge, Haunt Your Dreams includes Annabelle, It, Evil Dead Rise, The Nun, and The Exorcist.

Some of the other curated collection available in the House of Halloween hub include Ghostober (featuring The Dead Files, Ghost Brothers, and more), Your Costume Inspiration (featuring House of the Dragon, Our Flag Means Death, and more), Killer Creations (featuring Halloween Baking Championship, Outrageous Pumpkins, and more), and From the Twisted Mind of Stephen King (featuring Doctor Sleep, Cujo, and more).

For those that have already dug through the spooky depths of the Max library, some of the new titles arriving in October include Jack Osbourne’s Night of Terror on October 1st, Ghost Adventures: Devil Island on October 4th, season 20 of Ghost Adventures on October 11th, and the second season of 30 Coins on October 23rd.
