The suite of NBCU channels will remain available on YouTube TV after NBCUniversal and Google reached a new long-term agreement. This brings an end to a dispute that had threatened to result in the loss of a number of popular channels.

  • NBCUniversal and Google have reached a multi-year agreement ensuring continued access to NBC channels on YouTube TV.
  • The deal also ensures YouTube TV subscribers will get access to the new NBC Sports Network when it launches this year.
  • Other elements of the agreement include availability of Peacock via YouTube Primetime Channels, and continued access to Universal films and TV shows across Google platforms.

The previous agreement between Google and NBCUniversal came to an end on September 30, 2025. However, the two sides agreed a short-term extension right before the deadline to allow negotiations to continue.

With a new multi-year deal now in place, YouTube TV subscribers will maintain access to the likes of NBC, Telemundo, Bravo, CNBC, Golf Channel, E!, Oxygen True Crime, MSNBC, USA, Syfy and Universo.

Our new agreement with Google is a clear win for both our business and our viewers – underscoring the enduring value of our must-see shows, films, sports, and live events while expanding our reach to even more audiences,” said Matt Schnaars, President of Platform Distribution & Partnerships at NBCUniversal.

The new deal also ensures that YouTube TV subscribers will get access to the new NBC Sports Network (NBCSN) channel when it launches later this year. The NBC Sports Network will provide access to a range of NBCUniversal sports programming.

According to previous reports, one of the sticking points in agreeing a new deal was Peacock, and the new deal includes a provision that will make Peacock available as a YouTube Primetime Channel in the coming months.

This deal builds on our long-standing partnership with NBCU while addressing the evolving media landscape and recognizing the importance of making content available where and how viewers want to watch it,” said Justin Connolly, Vice President, Global Head of Media & Sports at YouTube. “We are pleased to have reached this agreement and look forward to continuing our partnership to serve billions of viewers around the world.”

The agreement also includes:

  • A long-term agreement for short-form clips, highlights and shows from NBCUniversal’s premium programming on YouTube
  • Films and TV shows from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment will continue to be available to buy or rent on Google TV, YouTube TV and YouTube, as well as iconic library films from NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution being available to stream via SVOD on YouTube Premium and AVOD through YouTube Free Primetime Content
  • A multi-year extension of Peacock’s availability across Google’s Android platforms, including Google Play and Google TV.

We’ve secured long-term access to our full portfolio of broadcast and cable networks on YouTube TV, and we’re advancing our Peacock strategy with an upcoming launch on YouTube Primetime Channels and ongoing presence on Google TV. This agreement positions us for continued growth and reflects our commitment to delivering exceptional entertainment to fans across platforms,” added Schnaars.
