YouTube TV subscribers have now gained another way to consume ESPN Unlimited content. Thanks to a new update, content from ESPN’s direct-to-consumer streaming service can now be accessed directly inside the YouTube TV app and interface.

- The integration adds new live guide rows and supports native features like Multiview and unlimited DVR.
- Subscribers can also now link their ESPN Fantasy Football accounts through the YouTube TV settings.
Although ESPN Unlimited rolled out in August of last year, it has taken its time making its way to YouTube TV.
For example, while most other live TV subscribers with an eligible plan could authenticate their ESPN Unlimited subscription last year, YouTube TV subscribers only gained authentication support in July of this year.
In spite of the slow gaining of support, it looks like the YouTube and ESPN teams have been hard at work to provide a premium ESPN Unlimited experience to YouTube TV subscribers.
Starting today, all those subscribed to the main YouTube TV plan, or any plan that includes sports, can now access ESPN Unlimited content directly inside the app, along with an upgraded experience.
As an example of the upgrades, the YouTube TV live guide now includes three rows of currently airing live events from ESPN Unlimited. This is in addition to a dedicated network row with even more content that’s personalized to the viewer.
Adding to this, games with multiple feeds now include a choice between different language options, home and away feeds, and alternate camera angles.
Adding even more, many of YouTube TV’s premium features, including the unlimited DVR, key plays, scores and stats, and Multiview, all also now support ESPN Unlimited content.
Lastly, YouTube TV’s Fantasy View feature has gained support for ESPN Fantasy Football. The option for ESPN Fantasy Football users to link their ESPN account is now available through the YouTube TV settings menu.
With the updated experience now live, YouTube TV subscribers will find it much quicker to access a variety of live sports events throughout the year, including the US Open tennis, NCAA College Football, PGA Tour golf, WWE Premium Live Events, LaLiga, and out-of-market NHL games.
This is in addition to ESPN’s studio shows like The Rich Eisen Show, ESPN Originals and Films, and the complete ESPN 30 for 30 documentary library.
