Paramount+ offers an annual plan and it can help you save on the cost of a subscription over 12 months. In spite of the overall cheaper cost, some households may find the annual plan is not the best option for them.
Paramount+ offers two main subscription tiers. The Essential plan costs $7.99 a month and the Paramount+ with Showtime plan costs $12.99 a month. There are some important differences between the two plans, including the use of ads, and consumers will need to decide which plan is best for them before choosing whether to pay monthly or yearly.
The Paramount+ annual plans result in a 16% saving over the course of the year. If opting for the Essential plan, the annual subscription costs $79.99, which breaks down to around $6.65 a month on average. The alternative way to look at the savings is that annual subscribers get two months of Paramount+ for free each year.
With the annual Paramount+ with Showtime plan priced at $129.99 a year, this works out to be around $10.80 a month on average, or the equivalent to two months free each year.

Is A Monthly Or Annual Paramount+ Plan Best?
The annual Paramount+ plan is cheaper overall and, for some homes, this will automatically make the annual plan a better option. However, there is a major caveat here and that’s the commitment involved. If considering signing up to Paramount+ just to watch one show or for a limited time, the yearly plan is unlikely to be worth it.
Even though annual plans are cheaper over twelve months, that’s providing the account holder remains subscribed for the full year. If the service does not contain enough content to keep you entertained all year then there’s not much point paying for a full year.
Adding to this, annual plans also require the subscriber to pay the full amount up front. For some, paying the much smaller amount each month will be more manageable, even if it works out to be more expensive over the year.
Regardless of whether signing up to a monthly or yearly plan, it is worth keeping in mind that automatic billing is always in effect. In other words, subscribers will need to make sure they cancel their Paramount+ subscription before the current billing cycle ends to avoid automatically being charged the cost of the next month or year.
