Over the weekend, Peacock began sending out emails to users offering them a three-month Super Duolingo subscription for free. Considering Super Duolingo typically costs $12.99 a month, Peacock subscribers can save as much as $38.97 over the first three months.
As this promotion is only available to existing Peacock subscribers, there is no general promo code that can be used to redeem the extended free trial. Instead, eligible Peacock users will need to use the link and individual promo code sent to them via email.
Peacock users who have received the email and code have up until end of day December 3rd, 2024 to claim the extended free trial through Duolingo. As is typically the case with these cross-service promotions, the extended free trial is only available to Peacock users who are not currently Super Duolingo subscribers.
If unsure whether Super Duolingo is worth testing out, the main two benefits over a free plan is ad-free learning and the ability to make as many mistakes as you want.
For those that would like to continue using Super Duolingo following the extended free trial, the subscription will auto-renew at $12.99 a month. There is also the option to save on the cost over a longer period by switching to the annual plan. With the yearly subscription priced at $83.99 a year, annual subscribers pay around $6.99 a month on average.
It should be noted that these prices are in related to the Individual plan. If looking to share a subscription, the Family plan costs $119.99 a year ($9.99/mo on average) and can be shared with up to five other people.
As a reminder, Peacock’s partnership with Duolingo began last year, when the two companies announced the launch of a new Love Language show featuring the “hottest singles in the world.” While Love Language was actually a fake show, it was an interesting way to announce the new partnership.
As part of that partnership launch, a promo code was made available which lowered the price down to as little as $2.49 a month for the first three months. Considering this latest promo offers the first three months for free, it is a better promotion in general.
