What You Need to Know

  • Peacock has officially launched a beta loyalty program for Premium and Premium Plus subscribers.
  • The program categorizes subscribers into three tiers (Gold, Platinum, and Diamond) with rewards based on tier level.
  • While initial rewards are limited to discounts and perks, the plan is to also offer more unique experiences in the future.

As first reported by Streaming Better earlier this month, the new program is currently in a testing stage, and only available to Peacock Premium and Premium Plus subscribers.

Following that initial reporting, NBCUniversal has now officially confirmed the new program and provided some additional details on what subscribers can expect.

For example, the program is only initially available “to a randomly selected group” of Premium and Premium Plus subscribers. This confirms that only those that have received an email will be eligible to enroll, with no option to request an invite at this time.

According to the company, the program will offer rewards across the following four key areas during the beta:

  • NBCUniversal rewards: Exclusive offers connected to Peacock programming and NBCUniversal brands.
  • Partner rewards: Benefits from select partners that enhance the subscriber experience.
  • Engagement rewards: Recognition tied to activity on Peacock.
  • Experiential rewards: Unique opportunities that bring fans closer to NBCUniversal experiences.

The longer a subscriber remains subscribed, the better the rewards are expected to become. Specifically, members will be grouped in the following three tiers based on how long they have been Peacock subscribers:

  • Gold: 3 months to 1 year
  • Platinum: 1 to 3 years
  • Diamond: 3+ years

As part of the launch, the following rewards will be available to subscribers:

  • NBCU Shop 25% discount
  • Bravo Shop discount
    • Gold members eligible for 15% off
    • Platinum members eligible for 20% off
    • Diamond members eligible for 25% off
  • Complimentary Instacart+ membership for one year
  • Pizza Hut digital code to buy one menu-priced medium pizza and get a second medium pizza of equal or lesser value free

As Streaming Better previously reported, the program intends to offer a variety of rewards, ranging from “everyday perks” to “epic experiences” and now we have a little more insight into what the latter is likely to be.

According to NBCUniversal, additional rewards will become available as the program evolves, anf these are expected to include Universal Parks perks and experiences, NBCUniversal content previews, and early access to NBCUniversal live events.
