Peacock will stream every event from the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics live, offering a one-stop streaming solution for sports fans. While Peacock also provided coverage of the last Summer and Winter Olympics, it seems as though the streaming service is about to go all-in on the Summer Games.
The opening ceremony for the XXXIII Olympic Summer Games will take place on July 26 in the heart of Paris, while the Stade de France will act as the host venue for the closing ceremony on August 11.
In between those ceremonies, 329 events in 32 sports will take place, and all of them will be available to watch live via Peacock. For those without a Peacock subscription, there will be plenty of Olympics programming available to watch on NBC, with more programming hours than any previous Olympics. However, for those that want as much access as possible, Peacock is going to be the best option.
In total, NBCUniversal says that there will be at least nine hours of daytime coverage on NBC, including live finals coverage of swimming, gymnastics, track & field, and more. Due to the time difference, the majority of the live coverage available to watch on NBC will take place during the morning and afternoon.
As for Peacock, the service has now been officially confirmed as the streaming home of the 2024 Paris Olympics. According to NBCUniversal, Peacock will be “providing fans with the most-comprehensive Olympic destination in U.S. media history.”
This will be achieved by what NBCUniversal says is a Summer Games first, the availability to stream every sport and event, including all 329 medal events. In addition, Peacock subscribers will also have access to full-event replays, all NBC programming, video clips, virtual channels, exclusive original programming, and more.
NBCUniversal has also confirmed that Telemundo will be providing extensive Spanish-language coverage of the Summer Games, including the men’s and women’s soccer competitions, with some additional coverage available to watch on Universo.
