Philo is currently offering one month of live TV for free when signing up to the service for the first time. Considering the free trial is only seven days, this can be a great way to test out the service before having to pay the monthly fee. This Philo deal is likely to be especially beneficial for individuals and households currently in the market for an affordable live TV service.

The cost of live TV streaming has been on the increase in recent months and years. This is partly the result of services seeing their own costs increasing as well as a general higher demand for additional channels. While there is now a selection of live TV streaming services to choose from in the US, Philo remains one of the more affordable overall, even following its own recent $5 price increase.

Philo does offer a seven-day free trial as standard. However, the company also appears to be now offering new subscribers the option to get their first month of live TV through Philo for free. What’s more, the first month does not seem to impact the free trial at all. In other words, new subscribers can secure five weeks of Philo before having to pay, resulting in a saving of $25.

Taking advantage of the deal is fairly simply and requires nothing more than a coupon code. Those interested in the free month will just need to head over to the Philo website, click on the “I have a redemption code” link under the “Start Free Trial” button and then add the “DECKTHEHALLMARK” coupon code to activate the discount and have it applied to their account.

Once again, this does not seem to affect the free trial, with the terms and conditions explicitly stating that the discount will be “applied toward the first bill, after 7-day free trial period.” Due to this, consumers won’t see a change to the seven-day free trial but should see a disclaimer confirming their first month is free. Consumers should check to make sure they see this disclaimer before completing the signing up process.

According to Philo, the promotion started on July 31, 2021, and will remain available up until 4:00 PM PT on December 30, 2021. The T&Cs do also add a “while supplies last” disclaimer, so some may find the promotion ends before the current December deadline. In addition, the discounted Philo subscription is only available to new subscribers based in the US, and only applies to the cost of the base subscription.
