Roku users in the U.S. now have the option of subscribing to Peacock’s Premium Plus service directly through The Roku Channel. Along with the newly-added tier, users can also take advantage of some useful live features.

With Peacock‘s Premium Plus service available through The Roku Channel, Roku users can now subscribe to the ad-free tier at $16.99 a month or $169.99 a year.
An added benefit of subscribing through a Roku account is that Roku customers won’t have to worry about managing another app or subscription. Instead, Premium Plus can be fully managed through the Roku account, and Peacock content accessed directly on The Roku Channel.

Along with the addition of Peacock Premium Plus, Roku has also now introduced the first features of what will become its version of a cloud DVR.
Essentially, Roku users signed up to Peacock Premium Plus have the ability to pause or replay while streaming live content and events, including sports.
As mentioned, this appears to only be the start of things to come, with Roku confirming that more Cloud DVR features are expected to arrive later this year.
The arrival of Peacock Premium on The Roku Channel, follows last month’s addition of Apple TV, with Apple’s streaming service available to Roku users at $12.99/mo or $99/yr, following a 7‑day free trial.
