Banana Ball fans will be happy to know that ten Savannah Bananas games will be available to watch on both ESPN+ and Disney+ over the coming months. The action will begin later this month and continue through August, with plenty of fun to be had.
For those new to Banana Ball, the focus here is on making baseball more fun. As a result, viewers can expect access to a unique version of the game, including trick plays, fan participation, and more.
As part of the agreement between ESPN and the Savannah Bananas, MLB and football stadiums will host ten games collectively, with all of these matches available to stream on ESPN+ and Disney+ at no additional cost.
For those with a live TV package, the same games will also be available to watch live on ESPN and ESPN 2.
The action begins on Saturday, April 26, when over 80,000 fans will fill Memorial Stadium, on the campus of Clemson University. The other games will then be played over the summer in different stadiums, including Fenway Park, Camden Yards, and Memorial Stadium, and concluding with an August 15 battle at Guaranteed Rate Field in Chicago.
“The Savannah Bananas have mastered the art of blending baseball with entertainment, creating an experience that resonates with fans of all ages, regardless of their baseball knowledge,” said Brent Colborne, ESPN Vice President of Programming & Content Strategy. “Their unique approach embodies two of ESPN’s key goals: reaching new audiences and inspiring the next generation of youth athletes. With Banana Ball showcased on ESPN and Disney linear and streaming platforms, we are confident new, avid fans will be created.”
