The TBD TV network is set to be rebranded as Roar late next month. Sinclair confirmed the change today, explaining that the rebrand will take effect April 28, 2025. The change will impact all viewers of the channel, whether they access the network for free over-the-air or through a streaming platform.
As part of the rebrand, viewers can expect to see the use of “a bold new visual identity” in addition to fresh on-air graphics, updated social media handles, and what Sinclair says will be “an immersive brand experience.”
Although the network itself is being rebranded, Sinclair says that the general nature of the channel and its content will remain relatively unchanged. Instead, Sinclair explains this is the final part of a transition that’s been in motion since 2023.
“The launch of ROAR marks the completion of a plan we set in motion in 2023—to position the network as a clear alternative to the traditional sitcom-based multicast networks by broadcasting live, audience based, comedy franchises. The new identity truly reflects the network’s energy and ambition for audiences and advertisers alike,” said Adam Ware, SVP, Growth Networks Group.
According to Sinclair, the network has continued to grow and expand since 2023, achieving its highest ratings to date in February 2025 and across every key demographic. Helping to achieve its “highest rated month ever” was last month’s marathon tribute to SNL 50th Anniversary celebration, which the company says was watched by 3.2 million viewers.
Sinclair has launched a new WatchROAR.com website for those interested in keeping up to date on the rebrand or just looking for more information.
