Sony Pictures Core Is Now Available As A Prime Video Channel

Sony Pictures Core is now available through Prime Video as a Prime Video Channel for users in the U.S. and Canada. Although this will result in an additional subscription each month, it is a way to unlock access to Sony Pictures movies.

Priced at $6.99 per month in the U.S. and Canada, Sony Pictures Core offers access to a curated selection of Sony Pictures movies and shows, which can vary depending on the user’s location.

In the U.S., for example, subscribers can watch a library that includes Goosebumps, Jerry Maguire, and Ghostbusters II. This is in addition to a variety of television series like I Dream of Jeannie, Charlie’s Angels, and Party of Five, among others.

Subscribers in Canada will get access to their own curated selection, including 21 Jump Street, Men in Black 3, and Hotel Transylvania. This is in addition to many of the same television series, including I Dream of Jeannie, Charlie’s Angels, and Party of Five.

Regardless of the location, select Sony Pictures Core titles are also available to stream in the IMAX Enhanced format, resulting in an even more premium viewing experience.

Prior to a rebrand in late 2023, the streaming service was previously known as Bravia Core.

Those that already have access to one of Sony’s devices, including PlayStation consoles and Bravia TVs, may find they already have access to Sony Pictures Core, and potentially at no cost.

However, with the streaming service now also available through Prime Video, those without a Sony device now have a standalone way to access the same catalog of movies and series.

As is the case with any Prime Video Channel, subscribing to Sony Pictures Core on Prime Video first requires an active Prime Video subscription.

In the U.S, a standalone Prime Video subscription costs $8.99 a month. Prime Video is also included with an Amazon Prime membership at $14.99/mo or $139/yr.
