Spectrum has now launched its new app store. The Spectrum App Store is designed to make it easier for customers to manage the streaming services available with their plan, including activating and upgrading services.

  • The Spectrum App Store streamlines how customers activate, upgrade, and manage streaming services included with their Spectrum TV plan.
  • Customers can access a growing list of popular streaming services at no extra cost and upgrade many of them to ad-free versions by paying the retail price difference.
  • The app store also caters to non-TV customers with à la carte subscriptions, while offering programming partners new ways to connect with a wider audience.

Since the beginning of 2024, Charter has slowly been building out its app support by striking new deals with various companies, including AMC, Comcast, Disney, and Warner Bros. Discovery, among others.

This has led to a variety of streaming apps becoming available to Spectrum TV customers at no additional cost. Now, with the launch of the Spectrum App Store, those customers have an easier way to manage all of those apps.

“Our new Spectrum App Store delivers what our customers want most – real savings with consumer choice and a simpler way to enjoy the up to $125 per month worth of streaming apps that our Seamless Entertainment experience provides,” said Rich DiGeronimo, President, Product & Technology, Spectrum.

For those that have yet to activate any of these ad-supported services, the new marketplace will now make that process much easier. Likewise, Spectrum TV customers with eligible video plans can use the Spectrum App Store to upgrade to a commercial-free tier.

While it does cost more to upgrade any of the services to ad-free, Spectrum TV customers only pay the retail price difference, ensuring they maintain the same saving as those who stick with the ad-supported version.

Apps now available to activate or upgrade through the Spectrum App Store include the Disney+ Hulu Bundle, ESPN Unlimited, HBO Max Basic with Ads, Paramount+ Essential, Peacock Premium with Ads, AMC+ with Ads, ViX Premium with Ads, Tennis Channel and Fox One

More apps are also set to become available through the Spectrum App Store in the future, including Discovery+ with Ads and BET+.

In addition to the apps included with a Spectrum TV package, the Spectrum App Store will also be home to a variety of apps that Spectrum customers without a traditional TV package can subscribe to on an à la carte basis.

“At the same time, we’re also creating new opportunities for our programming partners to reach more households and connect with our large base of non-video customers. In today’s fragmented video landscape, Spectrum is combining value, choice and convenience, creating an experience that benefits both our customers and our partners,” DiGeronimo added.

Spectrum TV and non-video customers can now check out the new Spectrum App Store through the My Spectrum App and Spectrum.net.
