The ‘Paramount+ with Showtime’ Plan Is The ‘Paramount+ Premium’ Plan Again

The Paramount+ with Showtime plan has now been rebranded as the Paramount+ Premium plan. If the name sounds familiar, that’s because the Paramount+ with Showtime plan was previously called Paramount+ Premium.

After the addition of Showtime content in 2023, Paramount Global opted to rename the Premium tier to better reflect the fact that the more expensive plan includes Showtime content.

However, it now appears that access to Showtime content is also the very reason behind the latest change back to the original plan name.

According to a help page explaining the change, a sampling of Showtime content has become available to Essential subscribers. With Showtime content now available across both plans, Paramount feels the use of the Premium name is more accurate and better reflects the tier.

Since we recently introduced a sampling of Showtime programming to the Essential plan, the Premium plan name reflects the broad and diverse offerings across both plan tiers. Showtime programming remains an important part of Paramount+, and is still prominently represented on the service!

While new and existing subscribers can expect to see the change in name roll out across devices in the coming days and weeks, they shouldn’t expect any changes to the actual plans or prices.

The Premium plan remains the best option for ad-free viewing as well as Showtime programming. Not to mention, access to a subscriber’s local live CBS station.

In addition, live TV subscribers that get the Paramount+ with Showtime channel as part of their live TV package shouldn’t expect any changes to their experience, including the name

While the Paramount+ with Showtime tier is being rebranded as Paramount+ Premium, the Paramount+ with Showtime network will continue to operate as Paramount+ with Showtime.
