A Vidgo subscription comes with access to around 90 live TV channels. However, the exact number of channels and the selection will depend on which plan a consumer signs up to. Making sure the live TV streaming service has the right channels before signing up can help to avoid any issues surfacing later on.

Vidgo is newer than some of the other live TV streaming services, but it does look to offer a different type of experience, thanks to a focus on social-based features within the mobile app. However, besides these additional features, it is still fundamentally a live TV service, with access to a variety of channels and networks for one monthly price.

When Vidgo originally launched, it did so in a sort of beta state, offering the option to subscribe from as little as $14.99 per month. However, the service properly launched at the end of 2019, with the cost of a subscription starting at $39.99. These days, anyone singing up to Vidgo can expect to pay around $55 per month for access to the main live TV package.

This one provides access to significantly fewer channels overall, but is also a more affordable plan in general. Vidgo additional networks & add-ons

Vidgo does not offer any upgrades. For example, there’s currently no option to add any premium networks or increase any of the limits that are imposed on features. However, this may change in the future.

In addition, Vidgo also does not currently offer any cloud DVR or traditional access to on-demand content. Instead, the service provides a catch-up feature that allows subscribers to watch videos for up to 24 hours after they are first shown on a channel. A Vidgo subscription does also come with TV Everywhere support, allowing subscribers to watch live and access on demand content directly through a channel’s app and website.

One of the unique features on offer with Vidgo is social TV. This includes the option to watch movies, shows and live sports with others through the Android (link) or iOS (link) mobile apps. Subscribers can either create their own private watch party with their family and friends or take part in one of the many scheduled watch parties with other subscribers.

Social TV benefits include:

  • Post Funny GIFS
  • Create memes
  • Drop A Poll To Get Everyone To Vote
  • Create & Share Photos With Others
  • Create & Share 5 Second Live React Videos

Vidgo channels summary

A Vidgo subscription offers a good and varied selection of live TV channels, and at a completive price when compared to the cost of other popular live TV streaming services. With its social-based features, Vidgo also offers an experience that is unlike what other services offers, which could make it a better option for some consumers.

However, it might not be the best option for everyone. With limited access to on-demand content and no cloud DVR support, some consumers may find they are better off paying a little more each month to get additional premium features and/or a more suitable channel lineup
