Vidgo Channels: Plus, Premium & Ultimate Plans Compared

A Vidgo subscription comes with access to more than 100 live TV channels, but the exact number depends on which plan a consumer signs up to. Making sure this live TV streaming service has the right channels before paying for a monthly subscription can help to avoid any issues surfacing later on.

Vidgo might not be as popular as some of the other live TV streaming services, but it does offer a competitive product. Specifically, Vidgo looks to cater to those wanting access to a wide variety of channels and, even more specifically, sports channels. This focus on the number of channels makes it more similar to the likes of DirecTV Stream than to Sling TV.

Likewise, the price is also more similar to DirecTV Stream than to Sling TV. Vidgo’s base plans start at $59.95 per month with the Plus plan. For those wanting the most channels possible, Vidgos Ultimate plan is the one to go for, priced at $99.95. However, most homes will likely find that the $79.95 Premium plan is the best option for them.

Generally speaking, the difference between Plus and Premium is that Premium unlocks access to all of the English-language channels available through Vidgo, making it the better option overall. The main difference between Premium and Ultimate is that Ultimate also includes a variety of Spanish-language channels as well. If also wanting access to Spanish-language TV, Ultimate is going to be the best option overall.

For reference, it is possible to just subscribe to the Spanish-language channels on their own, thanks to the Vidgo Mas package. This standalone plan provides access to more than 45 live TV channels and costs $39.95 per month.

Additional networks and add-ons

One of the interesting things about Vidgo, compared to other services, is that it doesn’t offer much in the way of upgrades and add-ons. For example, there are currently no premium networks or additional channel packs that can be bundled with any of the base plans.

Instead, subscribers get access to all of the channels the service offers at the listed price. In this sense, there are no hidden fees to worry about. As long as a consumer likes the channel lineup, and are happy with the monthly price, they are all set.

Vidgo channels summary

Vidgo offers a good and varied selection of live TV channels, and at competitive prices when compared to the cost of other popular live TV streaming services. The exact selection of channels that a household gets access to does depend on whether they sign up to the Plus, Premium or Ultimate plan.

Out of the three, the $79.95 per month Premium plan is likely to be the best option for most homes, considering it unlocks almost as many English-language channels as Ultimate. However, Ultimate is going to be the better option for any households that are looking for access to both English and Spanish-language live TV.

Of course, if wanting to keep the costs low then Plus still provides access to more than 100 channels at a lower price than DirecTV Stream, fuboTV, Hulu Live TV, and YouTube TV. For those that only really need access to Spanish-language sports, news and entertainment, the $39.95 per month Vidgo Mas plan is worth considering.
