Vidgo has now added Tennis Channel to its lineup, providing tennis fans with another way to watch the channel. The channel also arrives just in time for the start of the BNP Paribas Open which takes place between March 8 and 19, and just ahead of the March 21st start of the Miami Open.
Following the remove of Tennis Channel from YouTube TV back in 2020, the only options to watch the channel were fuboTV, DirecTV Stream and Sling TV. Vidgo has also now been added to that list following a new deal between the live TV streaming service and Sinclair, the owner of various Bally Sports RSNs.
Thanks to that deal, Vidgo subscribers have gained access to the live linear Tennis Channel starting from today. According to the announcement, Vidgo subscribers can expect “unlimited access to Tennis Channel’s exclusive, live coverage of more than 93% of the events in professional tennis each year.”
Better still, the channel has been added to all of the live TV service’s packages without any increase to the cost.
“Tennis Channel is one of our most important additions to expand our lineup of live sports because it features some of the world’s best athletes, entertaining and thrilling fans for hours in what I believe it one of the most exciting spectator sports around. Tennis Channel is the perfect complement extensive sports lineup, and I can proudly say we are now the best sports streaming service with the best value overall.”
Derek Mattsson, Vidgo CEO
For those new to Vidgo, the live TV streaming service offers a few different plans to choose from, with the $64.95 per month Plus plan the cheapest overall.
For those wanting a richer channel experience, Vidgo also offers a $79.95 Premium plan with access to more than 150 channels. Then there’s the $99.95 per month Ultimate package which provides access to the same channel lineup as Premium along with a number of Spanish-language channels.
No matter which of these three live TV plans a household signs up to, they will now have access to Tennis Channel.
It is not just the channel lineup that has expanded recently. Last week, it was also confirmed that Vidgo had expanded its on-demand library through the addition of more than 10,000 Cinedigm titles.
