Vizio Sports Zone now includes men’s and women’s professional and college basketball, as well as U.S. and international soccer leagues. In addition to the additional sports, Vizio’s discovery tool also now includes Team Pages, making it easier for sports fans to find and follow their favorite sports franchises.
As a reminder, Sports Zone acts as a hub for Vizio users to find content related to different sports. Whether it is live events, replays, or related programming, Vizio Sports Zone is a centralized location where users can find out more information on where and how to access the content.
With basketball and soccer also now included, Sports Zone has expanded the variety of sports it can now provide information and links on. Prior to this update, Sports Zone already offered access to information on a variety of professional and collegiate leagues including the NFL, NCAA Football, MLB, and NHL.
Following the update, the discovery tool now includes basketball leagues like NBA, WNBA and NCAA men’s and women’s basketball, as well as soccer leagues like the Premier League, Champions League, La Liga, MLS, Bundesliga, Serie A, and Ligue 1.
“With the wild popularity of Vizio Sports Zone, it made perfect sense for our team to expand this experience to offer even more sports,” said Steve Yum, Group Vice President of Product Management. “We’re thrilled to bring the convenience of Vizio Sports Zone to millions of Vizio Smart TV users who also happen to be basketball and soccer fans so they can find their games faster.”
The addition of the new Team Pages is also designed to further make it easier for users to discover and follow content. Instead of having to follow an entire sport or league, users can now simply navigate to the pages for the teams they are interested in and identify the services hosting events/programming related to those specific teams.
Any of these live events can then be added to a watchlist, making them easier to find and access at a later time through their personalized My Sports Watchlist row in Vizio Sports Zone and/or the My Watchlist row on the Vizio Home screen.
