If you subscribe to Netflix, your subscription now costs more each month. Thanks to a price increase that affects the cost of all of the streaming service’s plans, all subscribers are impacted by Netflix’s latest price hike.

  • All Netflix plans just became more expensive, with every tier receiving a price increase.
  • The Standard with ads plan now costs $1 more each month, while both ad‑free plans have increased by $2 a month.
  • It also now costs more to add an ‘Extra member’ to the Standard and Premium plan.

While Netflix doesn’t typically increase prices as often as some other streaming services, the size of the userbase means any price increase that does roll through is felt by a vast number of people.

This is even more true when a price increase impacts all subscribers on all plans, as is the case this week.

Following the latest price increase, those signed up to the cheapest Netflix tier will now pay $8.99 a month for their Standard with ads subscription.

Considering this plan previously cost $7.99 a month, new and existing Standard with ads subscribers now pay $1 more each month.

The two ad-free plans have seen their prices increase even more, rising by $2 a month.

As a result, the Standard ad-free plan now costs $19.99/mo (up from the previous $17.99/mo rate), and the Premium ad-free plan now costs $26.99/mo (up from the previous $24.99/mo rate).

Here’s a recap of those price changes

TierPriceIncrease
Standard with ads$8.99/mo$1/mo
Standard$19.99/mo$2/mo
Premium$26.99/mo$2/mo

Along with an increase to main plans, Netflix has also now increased the cost of adding extra members to an existing Standard or Premium subscription.

Standard and Premium subscribers now pay $7.99/mo to add an extra ad-supported member (up from $6.99/mo) or $9.99/mo to add an extra ad-free member (up from $8.99/mo).

The last time Netflix increased prices was back at the start of 2025.

Similar to this latest price increase, all subscribers were impacted by the previous one, with the cost of the Standard with ads tier increasing by $1/mo, the Standard tier increasing by $1.50/mo, and the Premium tier increasing by $2/mo.
