Netflix released its latest quarterly results this week. As part of that release, the streaming service confirmed it crossed the 325 million subscriber marker during the fourth quarter of 2025.
Key Takeaways
- Netflix surpassed 325 million global subscribers in Q4 2025, adding roughly 25 million members during the year.
- Revenue climbed to $12 billion for the quarter and $45 billion for 2025, reflecting strong financial growth alongside subscriber gains.
- Viewership continued to rise, with 96 billion hours watched in the second half of 2025 and a 9% year‑over‑year increase in viewing of Netflix originals.
Netflix made a number of changes last year, including moving away from providing updates on its subscriber count.
The exception here being Netflix said it would continue to provide updates as and when it crossed any major milestones.
That appears to be what happened during the fourth quarter of 2025, with the company confirming it is now serving more than 325 million subscribers globally.
Considering the streaming service ended 2024 with 300 million subscribers, Netflix managed to add around 25 million during the whole of last year.
With an increase in subscribers, it is not surprising that Netflix also saw an increase in revenue during the quarter and year.
On a quarterly basis, Netflix revenue totaled $12 billion and this helped the streaming service to achieve more than $45 billion in revenue for the year as a whole.
Netflix also confirmed that members watched 96 billion hours of content on the service in the second half of 2025, an increase of 2% (+1.5 billion hours) year over year.
In particular, the service pointed to viewership of its originals as helping to fuel the growth in overall watch hours, with viewership of original programming up 9% year over year in the second half of 2025.
