A new Altitude+ direct-to-consumer subscription service will launch in October offering Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche fans another way to watch their teams play. In terms of the price, a standalone Altitude+ subscription will cost $19.95 a month.

Similar to other DTC services that have launched recently, Altitude+ will host games that are not exclusive to a national network. Also similar to other DTC solutions, Altitude+ will only be available to fans living in Altitude’s nine-state broadcast territory.

In addition to every Altitude Sports broadcast of the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche, Altitude+ subscribers will also have access to pre- and post-game coverage, full episodes of Altitude Sports originals, and regional collegiate coverage of Colorado State, University of Denver, and Air Force Academy athletics.

Those currently subscribed to a live TV plan that includes Altitude Sports will also be able to access the standalone Altitude+ streaming service, providing their live TV package includes TV Everywhere support for Altitude Sports.

Altitude+ will make our live game broadcasts more accessible to a broader audience,” said Kevin Demoff, KSE president of team and media operations. “We have a first-class crew with some of the best on-air talent in the NBA and NHL. I’m excited for those fans that haven’t been able to watch games on Altitude on a regular basis – they’re in for a show.”

As this is a new streaming service, device support is expected to be a little limited to begin with. For example, Altitude+ will initially only be available to download on Android and iOS mobile devices, with support for unspecified connected smart TV platforms expected to follow soon after.

The arrival of the new Altitude+ service was announced as part of a wider agreement between Kroenke Sports and Tegna. The distribution agreement also confirmed that 20 Denver Nuggets games and 20 Colorado Avalanche games will be shown for free over-the-air on Tegna’s 9NEWS (KUSA-TV) and My20 (KTVD-TV) stations in Denver.
