AMC Networks ended the second quarter of 2025 with 10.4 million streaming subscribers. The update confirms a modest increase in subscribers between April and June of this year.
Considering AMC Networks ended the first quarter with 10.2 million streaming subscribers, the company managed to add around 200,000 subscribers during the most recent quarter.
On a year-over-year basis, AMC Networks closed out the second quarter of 2024 with 11.6 million streaming subscribers. While this would suggest a 1.2 million decline year over year, things aren’t quite that straightforward.
During the first quarter of 2025, AMC Networks changed the way it defines streaming subscribers. Specifically, the company now only reports subscribers that pay for one of its streaming services directly.
This automatically now means those that receive access to one of these streaming services as part of a video package are excluded from this total.
Due to this change, the company saw a significant drop in subscribers (on paper) when compared to the end of 2024, and this now makes comparisons with previous quarters in 2024 less accurate.
According to AMC Networks’ own data, streaming subscribers increased 2% when compared to the size of the subscriber base on June 30, 2024.
The company also reported a 12% increase in streaming revenues during the most recent quarter, citing price increases as one of the primary reasons for the increase.
