Canela Media is launching a new streaming rewards program for users of its Canela TV service. The new in-app Club Canela program rewards users for viewing content they already watch, while also providing brands with additional ways to reach and engage with U.S. Hispanic audiences.
Canela TV is a completely free streaming service that provides access to a variety of Spanish entertainment. Once the new Club Canela rewards program goes live (sometime this month), registered Canela TV users will be able to begin earning rewards simply for using the service.
In addition to watching content, users also have the opportunity to earn additional rewards by sharing and interacting with content on the plaform.
As rewards build up, Club Canela members will be able to redeem their rewards for a variety of benefits, including exclusive content, sweepstakes and digital gift cards.

From the brand perspective, the new rewards program is also expected to offer companies another way to reach new and existing customers, including through the use of customized branded challenges and rewards.
According to Canela Media, McDonald’s and The Coca-Cola Company have joined the Club Canela program as launch partners, with more companies expected to join in the future.

Brands will be able to take advantage of curated content collections, sponsored content including branded content, customized rewards, and links to their ecommerce platforms.
