DirecTV customers now have access to Rangers Sports Network. While DirecTV and Texas Rangers confirmed their carriage agreement in January, the original announcement explained that the RSN would be added in time for Opening Day on March 27.
Also explained in the original announcement, the Rangers Sports Network provides access to Texas Rangers’ pre-game, post-game, and live game telecasts across the five-state footprint.
The sports network become available to DirecTV via Satellite customers yesterday, and can now be accessed on Channel 677 in the Guide section. Beginning today, the Rangers Sports Network is also available via the DirecTV app.
For those currently signed up to a live TV package through DirecTV via Internet, the wait is set to continue for a short time, with DirecTV stating those customers can expect access to the Rangers Sports Network soon.
Regardless of the DirecTV service, Texas fans will need to be located in the team’s broadcast footprint, which includes Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, and eastern New Mexico, to access the new network.
As a reminder, all DirecTV customers with access to Rangers Sports Network can also access Rangers content by signing in to the Victory+ streaming app using their DirecTV credentials. This is the same app that’s currently used by Dallas Stars fans to watch live games and related content.
