DirecTV satellite customers now have access to a free preview of Dog TV. The free preview began today (June 24) and will continue through the rest of the month.

During this time, DirecTV satellite customers can stream as much of the premium channel as they want, and at no additional cost.

To take advantage of the free preview of Dog TV, DirecTV satellite customers just need to tune in to channel 562 in the live guide between June 24th and 30th.

For those new to Dog TV, this isn’t a channel designed to provide dog-lovers with content to watch. Instead, it is a channel designed with the health and well-being of dogs in mind.

Through the use of sounds and visual scenes that dogs instinctively find relaxing and engaging, content on the channel is designed to provide a natural way to soothe pets and help alleviate anxiety.

DirecTV is offering the free preview ahead of Independence Day, providing customers with a chance to check out the benefits before the fireworks begin.

However, for those that do want access to the channel as a way to help sooth their dog over the July 4th weekend, a paid subscription will be required.

Dog TV can be added to a DirecTV live TV package for an additional $4.99 a month.
