DirecTV Stream has launched a new promotion that reduces the cost of a live TV subscription by $10 per month for the first five months. As the promotion does not apply to the cheapest DirecTV Stream plan, consumers will need to commit to at least $80 per month to see any savings.
DirecTV Stream offers four different base plans for consumers to choose from. Entertainment is the cheapest at $69.99 per month while Premier is the most expensive at $149.99 per month. In between those two plans are Choice and Ultimate. As to be expected, the more expensive the DirecTV Stream plan is, the more channels it offers.
Right now, consumers can save $10 on DirecTV Stream each month so long as they sign up for a minimum of the Choice plan. With Choice priced at $89.99 per month, this promotion reduces the monthly cost down to $79.99 per month for the first five months. After the last discounted month, the cost of a subscription will increase to the usual monthly price unless canceled. DirecTV Stream’s $50 Over 5 months promotion is live now and ends on November 6, 2022
In reality, this is not one of the best deals that DirecTV Stream has ever offered. The minimum Choice requirement means consumers have to spend a minimum of $80 per month and stay subscribed for a total of 5 months to maximize the savings. Up until yesterday, DirecTV Stream had been offering the option to save $20 per month for the first two months. As that promotion also included the cheapest Entertainment plan, it was possible to sign up for DirecTV Stream for as little as $50 per month.
It is worth noting that, unlike the cheapest DirecTV Stream plan, Choice does include access to regional sports networks. As a result, this promotion might especially be worth considering for any homes that are specifically interested in a live TV plan with access to RSNs.
It is also worth noting that although this promotion is targeted at new DirecTV Stream customers, returning customers can also take advantage of the $50 Over 5 months promotion. This is as long as their previous subscription ended at least 12 months ago.
