DirecTV has now added the Max ‘With Ads’ tier to its MyEntertainment Genre Pack, providing subscribers with even more entertainment content. The Max Basic with Ads plan has been added at no additional cost, saving subscribers $9.99 a month on a standalone subscription.
DirecTV only launched its MyEntertainment Genre Pack last month, along with the MyNews, and MiEspañol Genre Packs. Priced at $34.99 a month, the live TV package provides access to more than 40 entertainment channels, including A&E, Bravo, Discovery, Food Network, and Lifetime, among others.
In addition to these entertainment channels, MyEntertainment subscribers also get access to Disney+, Hulu, and now Max. While DirecTV had previously confirmed the plan was to add Max to the Genre Pack, the exact date the add-on would go live wasn’t previously known.
That has changed today with all existing MyEntertainment subscribers now getting access to Max at no additional cost. Likewise, those signing up for the MyEntertainment Genre Pack will also now get Max for free, along with the free Disney+ and Hulu subscriptions.
As all of these additional subscriptions are for the ad-supported tiers of each service, subscribers can expect to sit through ad breaks when watching any Disney+, Hulu, or Max content as part of their MyEntertainment subscription.
For those more interested in news, sports, or Spanish programming, MyNews costs $39.99 a month, MySports costs $69.99 a month, and the MiEspañol Genre Pack costs $34.99 a month.
