DirecTV has added Hallmark and AMC Networks to its MyEntertainment plan, providing subscribers to the Genre Pack with even more entertainment-based content, and just in the time for the holidays.
Key Takeaways
- The addition of Hallmark to DirecTV’s MyEntertainment plan comes just in time for Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas featuring nearly 80 hours of new holiday content.
- The addition of AMC Networks not only means access to AMC’s Best Christmas Ever holiday event, but also BBC America, IFC, SundanceTV, and WE tv.
- Normally priced at $34.99/month, new subscribers can still sign up to the MyEntertainment Genre Pack and pay just $29.99/month for the first two months.
For Hallmark fans, the arrival of the channel is even more timely, as the Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas event begins tomorrow night.
As a result, MyEntertainment subscribers can expect access to nearly 80 hours of all-new original holiday programming over the next ten weeks.
Some of the titles to look for over the next week include Mistletoe Murders on Oct. 17, The Christmas Quest on Oct. 18, Mistletoe Memories on Oct. 19, and A Royal Christmas Reunion on Oct. 20.
If also subscribed to the MyCinema Mini-Pack Add-On, you now have access to the Hallmark Mystery and Hallmark Family channels as well.
With AMC Networks also included, MyEntertainment subscribers now have access to a lot more content in general, including the AMC, BBC America, IFC, SundanceTV, and WE tv channels.
Similar to Hallmark, the arrival of AMC also means MyEntertainment subscribers can look forward to another holiday-themed event. From Nov. 30 to Dec. 26, AMC will be hosting its monthlong Best Christmas Ever holiday feature.
“This is the time of year when people want to gather, unwind, and enjoy stories that make them smile,” said Vince Torres, Chief Marketing Officer, DirecTV. “With Hallmark’s beloved holiday movies and AMC’s mix of classics and fan favorites, we’re giving our customers a flexible and affordable way to keep the season’s spirit alive every night.”
As a reminder, DirecTV’s Entertainment package costs $34.99 a month and provides access to more than 55 channels. Subscribers also get access to Disney+, Hulu, and HBO Max Basic With Ads at no additional cost.
Right now, DirecTV is running a promotion which reduces the cost of the first two months down to $29.99/mo, resulting in a total saving of $10.
If considering signing up to MyEntertainment while the limited-time discount is available, the subscription will auto-renew at the usual rate, unless canceled.
