DirecTV’s New ‘March Madness Mix’ Allows Fans to Watch Multiple Games at the Same Time

In a bid to make this year’s March Madness easier to follow, DirecTV is rolling out a new ‘March Madness Mix’ feature, providing basketball fans with the ability to watch multiple games at the same time.

With so many games in such a short time, March Madness is always a busy time of the year for basketball fans, and DirecTV‘s new feature is designed to make it easier for fans to watch more of the tournament action.

Removing the need to flip through channels to see what’s happening, DirecTV’s new March Madness Mix makes it possible to watch up to four games at the same time on the one screen.

During the tournament’s first and second rounds, DirecTV users will be able to tune in to March Madness Mix and take advantage of a four-box view that includes games being shown on CBS, TBS, TNT and truTV.

Available March 19-20, satellite customers can find March Madness Mix on Ch. 205-1 and then catch the remaining games on the Sports Mix Channel.

Meanwhile, streaming customers in select markets will find March Madness Mix available between March 19-22 on Ch. 243.

Once the number of teams narrows down to the last sixteen, streaming customers in supported markets will have access to a two-box view featuring CBS and TBS games, while satellite customers can watch the remaining games on the Sports Mix channel.

In addition to March Madness Mix, DirecTV is also rolling out a new Sports Central hub in the DirecTV app. The new hub will also make it easy for sports fans to follow what’s happening during the tournament.

This includes finding live games (whether they are available on DirecTV channels or through a separate app), browsing upcoming schedules, and favoriting teams for more of a personalized experience.

The new Sports Central hub can be accessed directly through the DirecTV app on supported TVs and mobile devices after navigating to the Sports section.
