Discovery Plus During Shark Week Is Just $0.99/mo For 2 Months

Discovery Plus is currently offering the option to sign up during Shark Week and only pay $0.99 per month for the first two months. Considering the standard cost of a Discovery Plus subscription is a minimum of $4.99 per month, this is a good opportunity to test out the service at a much lower price than usual.

Discovery Plus brings together a variety of content form different popular networks including ID, HGTV, Lifetime, the History Channel, and, of course, the Discovery Channel. Similar to many other streaming services, Discovery Plus offers two main plans to choose from. For those that just want the cheapest subscription possible, there’s the $4.99 plan. For those that would rather skip the commercials, there’s the $6.99 per month ad-free plan.

With prices starting at $4.99 per month, the option to sign up at just 99 cents for each of the first two months is a pretty good deal. There’s no coupon code involved and all interested consumers have to do is head over to the Discovery+ website and sign up as normal. The deal went live on July 15 and is due to end once Shark Week comes to an end – July 31, 2022. In spite of the ease of taking Discovery Plus up on this promotion, there are some points to be aware of before signing up.

The first is that Discovery Plus is only offering access to the ad-supported plan. If attempting to sign up for an ad-free viewing experience, the user will be charged the normal $6.99 per month rate. Secondly, there is no free trial available with this deal. Discovery Plus usually offers new subscribers a seven-day free trial to test out the service. However, if signing up to the $0.99 per month deal, the consumer will be charged the first $0.99 when they sign up.

It is also worth keeping in mind that automatic billing is in effect. This means that once the promotional period comes to an end, the subscriber will automatically be charged for the next month at the higher usual rate. The only way to avoid this charge is to cancel the Discovery Plus subscription before the end of the discounted period. As is typical of these deals, the $0.99 per month promotion also cannot be combined with other Discovery Plus deals and promotions.
