What You Need to Know

  • Bundle+ subscribers can now stream the full Discovery+ library directly inside the main Philo app.
  • The change removes the need to constantly switch between apps to stream 90 Day Fiancé, Chopped, Gold Rush, and more.
  • Bundle+ users also now have the option of upgrading their Discovery+ to an ad‑free experience.

Philo launched its Bundle+ plan earlier this year as a rebranded version of the Core package, with the plan designed for customers wanting access to more than just the core live TV and FAST channels.

Unlike the Essential plan, Bundle+ also includes access to All Reality, AMC+, Discovery+, and HBO Max.

While HBO Max and Discovery+ have been available to Core/Bundle+ subscribers since last September, streaming the majority of the Discovery+ library required signing in to the separate Discovery+ app after linking a Philo account.

That’s what has now changed. While it is still possible to use the separate Discovery+ app, Philo has integrated all of Discovery+, including full back libraries and complete seasons of popular shows, directly into the main Philo app.

The end result being Bundle+ subscribers no longer need to switch between apps when looking to stream full seasons of 90 Day Fiancé, Chopped, Gold Rush, and much more.

Philo has continued to build a unified experience where live TV, premium streaming, and free content live in one place. Adding discovery+ directly into our app now gives Philo customers even more of the content they love, without having to switch apps,” said Adam Salmons, Head of Content and Business Development, Philo.

Bundle+ Subscribers Can Also Now Upgrade to Ad-Free Discovery+

Along with integrating the Discovery+ library, Bundle+ subscribers also now have the option of upgrading their Discovery+ subscription to ad-free for an additional $8 a month.

For those that don’t want to pay more each month, they can simply avoid this option and continue receiving their included ad-supported Discovery+ service, albeit now with the new ability to access the full Discovery+ library without switching apps.

The option to upgrade to ad-free Discovery+ follows the ability for Bundle+ subscribers to upgrade their HBO Max experience to ad-free, which became available in June of this year.

In May, Philo also added the All Reality add-on from AMC Global Media to the Bundle+ package at no additional cost, unlocking significantly more content for fans of reality TV and true crime.
