The cost of Dish‘s live TV packages are increasing in price again. The 2025/2026 price increase was announced yesterday and takes effect beginning September 11, 2025.
In general, the price increase will result in an additional $5 being added to each of the main packages and services.

The last Dish price increase arrived in September of last year. While it had seemed as though Dish was decreasing the time between price increases, this latest one arrives almost exactly one year after the last.
In explaining this year’s price increase, Dish pointed to the following two main reasons:
- There are just a couple of large programmers that own most of the channels you enjoy. You may only watch a few channels, but these large conglomerates require you to subscribe to all their channels.
- These large programmers continually force us to pay more for their channels or threaten to remove them from our customers.
Dish says it will continue to work on keeping prices as low as possible for customers.
