NFL RedZone through YouTube TV costs $10.99 on top of the current cost of a subscription. However, that price is not just for NFL RedZone, but other select sports channels as well. This is due to NFL RedZone being included in YouTube TV’s new Sports Plus add-on.
YouTube TV is a good live TV streaming service, in terms of the channel selection. While YouTube TV has routinely encountered price rises (with the most recent taking the service to a level that makes it one of the more expensive options), the service has also routinely added channels to help maintain the overall value. Back in September, this included the addition of NFL Network at no additional cost.
Along with adding NFL Network, YouTube TV also launched its new Sports Plus add-on. Priced at $10.99 per month, the add-on provides access to seven additional channels, including NFL RedZone.
Sports Plus add-on channels:
- NFL RedZone
- FOX College Sports
- GOLTV
- FOX Soccer Plus
- MAVTV Motorsports Network
- TVG / TVG2
- Stadium
Add NFL RedZone To YouTube TV
As NFL RedZone is only available through YouTube TV as an add-on, consumers will first need to subscribe to the service’s main live TV streaming package, priced at $64.99 per month. Due to this, the combined total for YouTube TV with NFL RedZone costs $75.98 per month.
Once a YouTube TV subscription is active, subscribers can very simply add the Sports Plus add-on with NFL RedZone to their package through the YouTube TV website.
Add Sports Plus with NFL RedZone instructions:
- Visit YouTube TV website via a browser
- Click on the profile picture in the top-right corner
- Select Settings
- Select Membership
- Click the checkmark next to Sports Plus
- Click Agree
Once Sports Plus is added, the subscriber will immediately have unlimited access to all Sunday afternoon games on NFL RedZone, as well as soccer, rugby, college football, basketball, and hockey, live motorsports racing, and live horse racing. Likewise, the subscriber will immediately see an additional $10.99 per month added to their YouTube TV bill.
Besides access to all the live events and on-demand content, YouTube TV subscribers will also be able to record the additional sports content using YouTube TV’s popular cloud DVR. Although when it comes to NFL RedZone, YouTube TV does note that subscribers cannot simply record content for a specific game, their team, or league. Instead, subscribers will need to add NFL RedZone to their DVR library, resulting in the recording of the full eight-hour program.
NFL RedZone: YouTube TV alternatives
While YouTube TV does provide access to NFL RedZone through the Sports Plus add-on, it is not the only option consumers have. Instead, fuboTV and Sling TV both also offer access to NFL RedZone.
Similar to YouTube TV, those going either the fuboTV or Sling TV route will first need to sign up to one of the base packages and then add NFL RedZone through an add-on. Via fuboTV, NFL RedZone is included with the Sports Plus add-on, priced at $10.99 per month on top of the base subscription. With Sling TV, NFL RedZone is included in the Sports Extra add-on, priced at $10 per month, on top of the base live TV subscription.

Good afternoon. I just cancelled my subscription to youtubetv due to some financial difficulties at this time. I also had Redzone added about a month ago. Does Redzone also go away with youtubetv upon cancellation. Just want to make sure that it does. Thank you.
