Peacock Price Increases: Every Premium And Premium Plus Price Increase So Far

A Peacock Premium subscription costs a minimum of $10.99 a month but that wasn’t always the case. The streaming service has encountered multiple price increases over the years and they have slowly led to the current price.

Here’s a look back at all of those changes.

Peacock Premium Launch Price

Peacock launched in July 2020. At that time, a subscription was priced at $4.99 a month and $49.99 a year. In April of the same year, and prior to the full launch, Comcast Xfinity customers gained early access to Peacock. What’s more, these customers were able to stream Peacock for free.

Along with the standard Peacock Premium tier, the ad-free Peacock Premium Plus plan was also made available. The ad-free plan was priced at $9.99 a month and $99.99 a year at launch.

For reference, Peacock also used to offer a free tier, which provided limited access to the streaming service’s catalog. However, the free tier was removed in January 2023. This left new subscribers with the option of choosing between the $5 and $10 monthly plans.

The removal of the free tier also happened shortly before the first price increase arrived.

Peacock Premium Increases to $5.99

The very first Peacock price increase arrived in July 2023 and took the cost of the Premium plan up to $5.99 a month, resulting in a $1 increase. Annual subscribers also saw their price increase to $59.99 a year, a $10 increase.

This price increase didn’t just impact Premium subscribers as Premium Plus subscribers also saw their price increase too.

The cost of the Premium Plus plan rose to $9.99 a month, a $2 increase, and the annual plan rose to $99.99 a year, a $20 increase.

Peacock Premium Increases To $7.99

In 2024, the cost of the Peacock Premium plan increased to 7.99 a month and $79.99 a year. The 2024 change resulted in a $2 monthly increase and $10 annual increase.

As was the case with the 2023 price increase, Peacock’s Premium Plus plan increased at the same time.

Technically, the price of Premium Plus didn’t increase, as the add-on remained priced at $6 more. However, this was only a technicality, as the increase in the cost of the standard Premium plan resulted in the price of Premium Plus increasing to 13.99 a month, or $139.99 a year.

At the new price, Premium Plus subscribers were paying $2 more each month, or $20 more each year.

Peacock Premium Increases To $10.99

The cost of the Peacock Premium plan increased to $10.99 a month in 2025. The price increase took effect on July 23rd, 2025 and also resulted in the cost of the annual plan increasing to $109.99 a year.

With an increase to the price of Premium, the cost of the Premium Plus plan also increased at the same time. The July 2025 price rise increased the cost of Premium Plus to $16.99 a month, or $169.99 a year.

With $3 added to the monthly cost (and $30 added to the annual plan), the July 2025 price increase was the largest Peacock price increase to date.

When Will The Next Peacock Price Increase Arrive?

While it is impossible to say when the next price increase will arrive, it is largely guaranteed that another price increase will come through at some point in the future.

Since the launch of the streaming service, five years ago, Peacock has encountered three price increases, fewer than many other streaming services. That said, all of these price increases have arrived in the past three years, and in July of each year.

If Peacock was to continue with the same pattern then it is likely that the next price increase will arrive in the summer of 2026.
