Formula E fans will have a new place to stream races soon, as Disney+ and ESPN have agreed a new multi-year deal with the motorsport championship. Thanks to the new agreement, Disney+ is set to become the global streaming home of Formula E.

The deal takes effect beginning with the 2026/27 season. At which point, all Formula E races will be exclusively available to stream on Disney+ and ESPN+ in the U.S.
As the agreement is a global deal, all Formula E races will also be available to watch on Disney+ in most international markets, totaling 144 territories – including the U.S.
In addition to the live races, Disney+ and ESPN+ subscribers will have access to plenty of related content, including preview and review shows, practice, qualifying and race sessions, and race highlights.
The new agreement sees the streaming rights for Formula E switching over from Roku to Disney+. Roku’s agreement represented its first-ever live sports deal, and covered the 2023/2024 racing season through to the end of the 2025/2026 season.
With a change in streaming home, the latest agreement marks the next chapter in Formula E streaming in the U.S. and elsewhere.

The upcoming season begins December 18 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Additional stops throughout the season will include Austin, Miami, Monaco and Mexico City, before finishing up with the final round on July 25, 2027, in Tokyo.

Another notable change for the upcoming season is the introduction of the GEN4 era, featuring the fastest and most powerful cars in Formula E history. Designed to create even more competitive on-track action excitement, the new season will also feature an enhanced race weekend format.
