Priced at $7.99 per month, the Basic With Ads plan is currently the cheapest way to sign up and subscribe to Disney Plus. That’s providing you are subscribing directly to Disney Plus. Disney also offers a Disney Bundle, which can be combined with basic Hulu or basic Hulu and ESPN Plus, and helps to reduce the cost of each subscription.

Regardless of whether signing up directly to Disney Plus or either the Duo Basic or Trio Basic bundle plan, all Disney Plus Basic subscribers get access to, and miss out on, the same features.

What you get with Disney Plus Basic

Disney Plus Basic subscribers get unlimited access to the entire Disney Plus library, varied device support, concurrent streams, and multiple profiles.

Whether you’re looking to stream movies from the MCU, the latest Nat Geo series, or rewatch a Disney classic, the Basic with ads tier has you covered. Not only do you get access to all of the older titles, but you’ll also get access to every new release as soon as it lands on Disney Plus.

Shows, movies, and other content aside, Disney Plus Basic also includes some premium features as well. For example, subscribers can stream on multiple devices at the same time, and also take advantage of multiple profiles (with support for individual profile recommendations).

What you don’t get with Disney Plus Basic

Disney Plus Basic With Ads doesn’t include an ad-free viewing experience and doesn’t offer the option to download videos for offline viewing.

As to be expected with a ‘with Ads‘ plan, Disney Plus Basic is designed to be an ad-supported subscription service. This also means that all of the content available to watch includes ads. Those signing up to the ad-supported version shouldn’t expect to have the opportunity to watch any content without ads.

Likewise, Disney Plus Basic subscribers also don’t have the ability to download titles to watch offline. This might not be much of an issue for some homes, considering only select content is available to download, and only on select devices. Either way, downloads is not something that Disney Plus Basic subscribers get included with their subscription.

Most importantly, Disney Plus Basic subscribers don’t have to sacrifice content. Signing up to the cheapest plan unlocks access to the entire Disney Plus catalog, albeit with ads.
