Fandango at Home has changed its name, opting to drop the ‘at Home‘ part and just go with Fandango from now on. Other than the name change, the company says users can expect access to the same experience and service.

What You Need to Know

  • Fandango at Home has dropped “at Home” and is now simply Fandango,
  • The service itself remains unchanged, including user accounts and preferences.
  • The platform has gone through multiple rebrands over the years, including a switch from Vudu to Fandango at Home.

This is not the first time the service has gone through a name change. Formerly Vudu, the service was rebranded as Fandango at Home in early 2024, following the acquisition of Vudu from Walmart in 2020, and the merging of FandangoNow with Vudu in 2021.

At the time, the 2024 name change was designed to bring Vudu more visibly under the Fandango umbrella, while ensuring the difference in services remained clear.

Fandango at Home for home entertainment, including renting, buying, and streaming free ad-supported movies and TV shows. Fandango for everything theater related, including buying movie tickets.

Now, a little over two years later, Fandango has opted to completely forget about this distinction and bring movie tickets and streaming together under the one name: Fandango.

According to the company, nothing else is changing, with users still able to access all of the same content in the same way.

This includes no changes at the account level, with movie libraries, purchases, rentals, watchlists, and preferences all remaining the same as before.

For those interested in more information, Fandango is currently in the process of sending out emails.
