Apple has now confirmed that Friday Night Baseball will return to Apple TV Plus next month. However, baseball fans will have to pay for a monthly subscription this time.

During the 2022 regular season, it was possible to watch Friday Night Baseball for free. Although it was marketed as a perk of an Apple TV Plus subscription, the games were continually made available for free to anyone with access to the internet and the Apple TV app.

That’s what is mainly changing this year. While Friday Night Baseball will once again be available to watch through Apple TV Plus, it will actually now require an active Apple TV Plus subscription. For any homes that are already signed up to Apple TV Plus, they are good to go, and Friday Night Baseball will be available to them at no additional cost.

The first two games of the 2023 Friday Night Baseball schedule both take place on April 7th when the Texas Rangers take on the Chicago Cubs and the San Diego Padres visit the Atlanta Braves.
