Frndly TV is adding ION Plus and CraftsyTV to its channel lineup. While new channels tend to increase the overall number of channels, that’s not exactly the case here, as Frndly TV also confirmed three existing channels are being removed from its live TV packages over the next few weeks.
The first of these channels is Waypoint TV, which is scheduled to be removed from the lineup tomorrow (September 18th). The Pursuit channel will then be removed from Frndly TV on September 20th, followed by Accuweather on September 27th.
Interestingly, Pursuit Channel and Waypoint TV were only added to the service in late 2023 and, similar to today’s announcement, they arrived in replace of two other channels – Sportsman Channel and World Fishing Network. Accuweather was also only added to the lineup in October of last year, along with Justice Central, a week after Waypoint TV and Pursuit arrived.
Loosely explaining why these three channels are being removed less than a year after joining the lineup, Frndly TV says their departure is part of the company’s effort to “continue to expand our channel options for affordable, quality entertainment.”
As for the new additions, Frndly TV confirmed that ION Plus is available from today, and can now be accessed in the Guide section of the app. While no firm date was provided for CraftsyTV, Frndly TV did state it is coming soon.
