Fubo is currently offering new subscribers the option to sign up and save 15% on the cost of the first month. Similar to other deals available today, the discount is designed to celebrate National Streaming Day.
Fubo offers three main English-language live TV plans to choose from with the cheapest being the $74 .99 per month Pro plan. Those willing to pay more for a richer lineup can opt to sign up to the $84.99 Elite plan or the $94.99 per month Ultimate plan.
For those considering signing up in May, Fubo is currently offering a 15% discount for National Streaming Day. While the deal doesn’t show up when visiting the main website, it is visible when signing up through the promotional page and can then be applied by clicking on the banner at the top or the Start Your Free Trial button.
Speaking of which, Fubo offers all new subscribers the option to watch for free for seven days and it is possible to sign up at the discounted rate and still take advantage of the one-week free trial.
As far as we can tell, the deal only seems to apply to the Elite plan, which costs $84.99 per month before the discount. Any attempt to change to a different package (Elite is selected by default) seems to remove the promotion altogether.
It should also be noted that Fubo adds an additional RSN in most locations and this can be as much as $14, depending on the location and the number of regional sports channels that are available through Fubo in that area.
For us, for example, the Elite plan costs $84.99 + $13.99 resulting in a total of $98.98. With the 15% deal, the price dropped down to $84.14 for the first month, resulting in a saving of around $15, or the cost of the RSN fee.
If you do decide to take Fubo up on this offer, keep in mind that the price will automatically revert back to the higher cost for the second month. The deal itself is only for the first month.
From what we understand, while today is National Streaming Day, new users have until May 31st to take advantage of the promotion and save 15% when signing up.
