Fubo expects to have closed out the second quarter of 2025 with 1.35 million subscribers. While this will reflect a loss on the previous quarter, Fubo was expecting a loss during the second quarter, and a larger loss than what’s now anticipated.
When Fubo released its first quarter results, the company confirmed it ended the first three months of the year with 1.47 million paid subscribers in North America.
At the same time, Fubo projected that its North American subscriber base would decline to between 1.225 million and 1.255 million paid subscribers by the end the second quarter of 2025.
However, with Fubo’s preliminary Q2 2025 results now announced, and pointing to more than 1.35 million subscribers, this is significantly higher than the projection made by Fubo following the first quarter.
In addition to the better-than-expected North American subscribers, Fubo also now anticipates having closed the second quarter with around 340,000 rest of world (ROW) subscribers.
Once again, this is higher than the 325,000 and 335,000 paid ROW subscriber range Fubo projected for the second quarter of the year.
In terms of revenue, Fubo now expects to have closed out the second quarter with a total revenue of $365 million in North America, up from the previous guidance of $345 million. This is in addition to $8.5 million in ROW revenue, also up from the previous guidance of $7 million.
Fubo is due to announce its full second quarter 2025 financial results on August 8, 2025.
